Shalom sunday
The term Shalom means "peace." We call 5th Sundays, "Shalom Sundays" because on those days we seek to take the peace of God out into the world, by taking the church service out into the community. Currently, we are spending Shalom Sundays with our neighbors living at Watered Gardens Rescue Mission located at 531 Kentucky Ave #2218, Joplin, MO.

On Shalom Sundays, our schedule looks like this:
7:00am - Breakfast Team arrives to start cooking
8:00am - The Service begins in the chapel (all are welcome)
9:00am - We serve and enjoy breakfast with our neighbors living at the mission
Often we will follow this time up with fellowship in the park.
We do not gather at the church building on Shalom Sundays, on these days our Gathering takes place at Watered Gardens at 8am.
