Born of God: Living Between Two Worlds

There’s a beautiful mystery at the heart of the Christian life—one that John captures in his Gospel when he writes,
“To all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God—born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” (John 1:12–13)

To receive Jesus is more than agreeing with a set of beliefs. It’s an act of the heart—a surrender that opens us to a new kind of life. It’s being born again—not of flesh, but of the Spirit.

When we are born of God, everything changes. Our identity is no longer rooted in our family line, our performance, or our reputation—it’s grounded in the Father’s love. We’re welcomed into His family as sons and daughters, invited to live with childlike trust and wonder.

That means we now live in two worlds. We still walk the same soil, feel the same sunlight, and face the same struggles—but we breathe the air of heaven. The Spirit within us opens our eyes to see God’s hand in every sunrise, every act of grace, every quiet moment of peace.

The Christian life isn’t about escaping the world—it’s about learning to live in it with new eyes. It’s about recognizing the sacred woven through the ordinary.

So this week, pause long enough to notice the presence of God in your everyday life.

Pray with childlike faith.
Read Scripture expecting to hear His voice.
Receive every good gift with gratitude.
